Good show, but very violent.

Great show, very fun, but also very gritty and violent. One character gets his head unexpectedly blown off, there’s a bunch of profanity, and a ton of monster blood. This is definitely not a show for younger kids.

What's the Story?

PACIFIC RIM: THE BLACK is an anime series, building on the story of the original film环太平洋地区and环太平洋地区: Uprising。该系列follows a brother (Taylor) and his younger sister (Hayley), who learn to pilot an abandoned Jaeger (huge manmade fighting robot). They cross a post-apocalyptic Australia overwhelmed by monsters known as Kaiju and search for their parents who headed to Sydney in their own Jaeger. Will they find their parents? What sacrifices will be made along the way?

Viewers will no doubt be surprised to find that this anime series succeeds where its live-action predecessors fell flat. Just as action packed and exciting as the original films,环太平洋地区: The Blackalso manages to be heartfelt with moments of real poignancy thanks to the underlying theme of family love. Episodes are gorgeously animated and, when combined with the series' top-notch voice actors, have an undeniably high production value. The story is also compelling, fast-paced, and delightfully interspersed with moments of wry humor.
