This is an amazing show you will never get tired of. I would say it definitely depends on the person for the show. Overall with movies and tv shows I dont believe that age matters. It matters if you can handle it. Like if you're 10 but you dont get scared easily you could watch it but if you're 14 but get scared easily you may want to wait to see season 4.

Parents, you should definitely let your kids watch this show but know there is a bit of violence and language and I would suggest watching it with them for the 3rd and 4th season if you want to make sure what they’re watching is appropriate. PS there is a little sex early on in the show but nothing graphic

It get more dark and violence over the seasons here a guide. Season one 3 out of 5. A young boy is kidnapped by an off-screen while his mother searches for him. A strange creature is discovered and very suspenseful and makes growling noises when it's around. A young girl is a captive in the show. Very little blood and gore shown. . A disturbing underworld is shown and a place called the upside down is golmey, sad also hopeless and will be scary to younger viewers. Also some jump scares. Season 2 3 and 1/2 out of 5. This season is a little more dark and intense. There is a scary monster that is trying to take over. More blood and gor are shown in season 2 and other scary monsters eating people. Also a person's face looks creepy in one episode. Season 3 3 out of 5. Not as scary there are some scary faces and a giant monster and blood and gor. Season 4 4 and 1/2 out of 5. Season 4 very intense with a scary talking monster that murder people in brutal ways by there bone cracking and lots of blood. A lot more blood this season,demontice images,people in danger . Sex 3 out of 5: Teen characters kiss, discussion of dating, flirting. A steamy make-out scene occurs in a bedroom. Drinking, Drugs & Smoking 3 out of 5. The sheriff not only smokes frequently but may have a pill and alcohol addiction. Underage drinking, sometimes. season 4 is so violent and scary to go over a tv 14 rating with disturbing images and gory. It should be MA. Because it graphic images. I would recommend this show 100 percent..
